I got a AVIC VH 0099, literally have no idea how to use it. When i put a CD in it, it just starts memorizing it but while its doing that i can't skip tracks. And i can't find the equalizer to fix the weak bass

Pull it out.
Put it on ebay (with the clear statement it will only work in Japan)
Buy a new one.
Or
Move to Japan where it will work
It is obviously useless too you anywhere else.

OK cool then.
There must be somebody that speaks Japanese in you area that can give you a hand.
Where do the tuner crowd hang out? Stop by there and ask around. They can probably have it up and going in no time.

GEEEZ you have an answer for everything!
So your saying you are the tuner crowd there then.

Go for a drive? There has to be somebody, someplace on the island that can read Japanese.

All out of ideas here.

If their manual is available as a PDF download, you may be able to copy and paste chunks into Google Translate. I've done that successfully on other manuals. As long as the conversion to PDF wasn't done by simply scanning (resulting only in bitmap images), and if they didn't protect the document (as several radio manufacturers like to do on some of theirs), the text should be copyable.

Of course, if the BT functions are operated by voice recognition, you'll still have to learn some Japanese phrases.
