Question newbie OFT question

Hey guys,
I bought OFT a few months ago and have been running the maps that came stock.
Today I've finally managed to grab OF Manager, I have updated the device and added the new template. I have also downloaded the v2.0 beta maps which I want to use.
My question is, how do I know which "code name" to use for my car? Here: http://puu.sh/cPKe0/e3b56ae190.png

When I uploaded the stage 1 tuning file the day I got OFT, it uploaded A01C. However, it did not give me a choice, all of the 5 rom files were A01C. How do I know which is the appropriate file to use on my car?

Thanks

edit- just found out those beta maps are old. downloading 2.062 non beta

The oft will only let you load the correct calid ie if your A01C OFT/OFM will only load A01C maps.

however you do have to select stage 1/2 EL/UEL header or E85 fuel maps.

read OFT TIPS link below

Their is also a file called "release notes" that comes with the download tunes pack.

steve, I JUST came from that thread to add to what I was asking here. The section of relevance is:

------------
Tune Calibration ID or tune type identifier

The last letter of the calibration ID is your ROM type identifier
Eg ZA1JB01C the C identifies the ROM type
C= USA/Canada , G=Europe/Australia, ect
The preceding 3 numbers or letters indicate the Revision number Eg B01C
Your car may have come with 700,900,A00,A01,B00,B01 ect. Latest is D00

Why is my Tune Calibration ID different from my stock ROM or in OFT/OFM

The Tablet always has a copy of your original ROM in the protected Slot. It will only load tunes of the same ROM type into your car ie the last letter of ROM calid must match.

OFT tunes are generally based on the latest ROM revision for your ROM type.
For USA/Canada type = C eg ZA1JB01C or ZA1JA01G for Europe/Australia/South Africa
1.5X tunes based on A01 revision
2.0X tunes based on B01 revision

so depending on where you look you may see the revision change but the type number should not change.
------------

The only thing I am confused about now is this: "2.0X tunes based on B01 revision"
Does that mean with these 2.062 maps that I can use A01C and B01C? Or do I just stick with A01C?

Thank you for your help!

What the OFT guys do is base their tuned rom on the latest compatible rom for your car.

So your stock rom was an A01C I believe from your post.

The OFT "A01C" roms are actually B01C roms with the tuning changes inserted and then they alter the calid back to A01C so the OFT will load it but its really an B01C based rom (in disguise) so you have all the benefits of the tune plus the factory updates.

The calid changing is why you MUST use the romraider definition files that come with the tune files if you want to edit the tuned roms as the modified calid roms must be edited with the corresponding calid modified definition files else ecu=brick.

If you not editing your tuned rom all is ok no need to worry.

I will not be editing any of these tune files, that's a bit over my head at this point. So my FRS will be receiving a v2.062 A01C file. Thank you for the help steve, and for all of the effort you've put in here!
