Finally got my first scratch

Everyone can laugh at me for such a benign issue. But I finally pulled up too close to a curb at a parking lot and scraped the underside of my bumper. It was so stupid because I was just testing how far I could get and then get out and look at how well I did. HAHA! It usually works. I have had my FRS for 2 1/2 years now without a single scratch. Shit happens but I was doing so well

I have seen much worse in this forum. I am by no means complaining. Just had to put it out there. Every time I clean the underside of my bumper I am like 'fuck!'. Got the first one out of the way and more to come I presume. Ahhhh.

At least it is Raven! Break out the Sharpie and do a touch up.
I managed to my first bumper scrap the same way you did. Got one little line under there but have to lay on the ground and do my best contortionist routine to see it so I can live with it.

I have quite a few under there. Wish it was just one like yours. Thanks for response.

Do get some dirty looks when I am parked a foot and a half back from the curbs though!

That is how I think about it.
Was parked beside a Ram pickup the other day. Was my usual 1 1/2' back and there was still 4 feet of truck sticking out past my car. Some woman pulls in on the other side of me in a minivan. She gets out, walks up to the front of my car, looks at how far, it is from the curb and shakes her head. I was walking and almost up to her so hit the fob so it beeped and the lights flashed. She looks me right in the eye and says "if you parked properly I could get into my spot easier". I just smiled, pointed at the truck sticking way out past mine, got in and drove away.
She stood there glaring at me the whole time!

She's jelly because she drives a minivan. One word, Racecar.

Damn this happened to me today...at least you lasted over 2 years, I only made it to 3 months. I should've known not to pull in too close but of course it was too late when I realized.

lol, people worry about the underside of their bumper? My MR2 scrapes something every time I drive it, moderately lowered. Before lowering, it would scrape on something 1/4 of the time.

Not sure whether to thank you for making me feel better or ask why you drive so badly...

I mean, I can't take any driveways straight on without scraping since the car is lowered (steeper ramps will scrape even at stock ride height), and a lot of driveways are too narrow to go in at an angle, so gotta scrape. Bumper cover is a flexible piece of ABS for a reason right? :P

I'd rather park on the road than scrape my car every day. I understand its at the bottom and not visible but jeez....the sound breaks my heart every time without fail
