Buddy Club Taillights warping
Anyone else with these lights experiencing this? I've had these since February and just now noticed it. Looks like cheap plastic not holding up to the heat of sunlight. Passenger side doing it as well, but hasn't progressed as much.

Seeing as the two of you are from states that receive a lot of sun, and hotter weather, I don't think it's an issue of the plastic being cheap so much as any thin piece of black plastic being exposed to extreme temperatures for hours at a time throughout the year isn't going to hold up for more than a few months.
I live in Oregon, and I got my Buddy Club tail lights opti-coated (as I do with all of my exterior mods) to prevent UV damage and fading. So far I haven't had any issues with mine. You should be able to contact Buddy Club USA about the issue - they're pretty good about helping people with issues like this, and getting you a new product in exchange for the damaged one. I contacted them several months back about a very, very small chip I found inside the housing due to a manufacturing defect. They offered to send me a new set of tail lights, and a pre-paid label to have the older pair shipped back to them. This was months after I had had my tail lights installed, and their offer still stands if I want it, but for the time being I didn't bother since I paid to have my current pair opti-coated, and would want to do that again with the second pair. |

I had a customer in over the weekend that I was installing suspension and corner balancing that has this exact same issue on his BuddyClub tails. It's for sure a plastics formula issue. There are plenty of aftermarket tails and headlights that come through my shop that do not suffer this issue. I have noticed a certain brand has fogging issues of their clear plastics too (not from moisture but rather heat and sun deterioration). Hopefully BuddyClub remedies their issue.

Cheap plastic, not much more can be said...
At this point, it would be most wise to get everyone who has this problem to take a picture and go to buddy club about it. Let it be known across the internet that there is a serious problem with these taillights. Assuming this is a consistent problem. And opti coat isn't going to help...
