What do you wish was changed about the brz/frs?
Leave out the rear seats. They really aren't practical at all. Push the cabin back a bit/a lil longer hood and drop in a 3.0 300hp boxer 6. They might even been able to get closer to 50/50 weight distribution with the cabin pushed back. Sure they wanted a light car but at 2800 pounds I don't see why they didn't just go 6.
Just sayin. Still im the most intrigued about this car but ill wait for a turbo version.. |

Nothing!
Its a brilliant creature as is. Every detail has a function. If you start improving one thing you'll destroy something else and eventually kill the essence of this car. Oh, wait! I know. How about louder horn? NO! It will upset weight distribution

I wish my dash would stop undressing itself. This makes me a little bit worried about the rest of the car.

My biggest complaint so far is the ultra-light clutch pedal. I think my left leg is atrophying.
I wonder if I can bolt in a Legacy or STI Clutch MC. |

The dash collects dust really easily and it makes it look bad. The seat belt holder is pretty stupid. The straps on the back seat get stuck when you throw the backseat closed quickly. Why is the battery so damn big? (looks really heavy). The NAV is the worst NAV in the world, my iphone is 100x better. Black cover on the bumper is pretty stupid. Get rid of the cup holder in the center and put a cover on it so I can throw stuff inside (like coins). Get rid of the torque loss and add 20 more hp. And a real fender vent!
I can keep going but overall the car is a blast to own, I get compliments everyday |

I'll preface this by saying I love my BRZ and I would happily buy it all over again. This is the car I was waiting for...it really does address a market need that everybody else is choosing to ignore. I hope Toyota and Subaru profit for their bold choice.
Let's see, a few things off the top of my head...
What is the BRZ really good at, then? Fucking driving. But I'm still angry enough about all of these little things to post about it on the internet. I'm sure I'll have lots of little things to add. I haven't even had this thing a week yet. One thing I think was really thoughtful is the little rubber lip near the phone cubby, by the USB port. Some engineer probably had to argue hard to spare this thing's life when the bean counters came around. I'm glad it survived the Design For Manufacturing review. I also appreciate all of the little rubber washers in the engine bay, to keep the car from shaking itself apart. The QR codes are cute, too. I wonder how many parts on my car can be uniquely identified by Subaru's inventory management software, tied to my VIN. |

Er, we have quite a bit of threads on this I think but...
As someone who hasn't seen the car or planning to buy it anytime, I wish they brought lower spec, more affordable options to the US. I'd very much like basic radio system, no GPS nav, no stainless steel and leather pieces, maybe even the open diff, and DEFINITELY the 16" wheels, which look better than the 17"s anyday. I hate to say but even for people who are well off, if you're in your 20s you might not want to dump 25k on a car. You might say, well these options only cut like 1-2k off the car, but getting the price tag a little closer to a Civic or whatever makes it a more comfortable buy especially if you're say, a graduate student living on ~20-25k stipend, and are digging into your savings to get a car. Definitely feel like they kinda missed the affordability mark, but it's understandable. |

soconfoozed: You, I, and everyone else has made fun of the back seats. But believe it or not I took my dad, step mom, and sister out to dinner in my brz tonight! My sister wanted me to take it, I was hesitant, but we all managed to fit somehow. It was about 30 min of driving each way. I'm so proud of my brz, even if I was too close to the pedals to heal-toe.
