You better pay the ticket or else I'll report you to the authorities!

I've gone to court in LA, van nuys to be exact, and during the explanation they say that you have to pay them and the "rumors" you don't are false. This was only a month or so ago. And who knows they could just be trying to scare people into paying it lol.

if you google "rosecrans hindry" you'll see web pages discussing the use of red light cameras in hawthorne. there might be some useful info there.

yea i did, apparently they dont send these to the DMV, instead it goes to a collection agency. and they just harass you. then it just limbos.

ill probably still pay it though. it was just the traffic school that i didn't want to deal with cuz its just tedious.

About a 2 years ago I was in the Long Beach traffic courthouse(LA County) and a lady ahead of me had a red light camera ticket.

She asked the judge if she could just pay the ticket & take traffic school. The judge responded by saying, "I highly suggest that you visit the legal library upstairs, and you will find information to help you get your ticket dismissed."

The woman was clearly a bit confused by the judge's comments as she wanted to just resolve the matter by paying. However, the judge told her that he was going to file an extension on her ticket to give her ample time to do a bit of research to get the ticket dismissed. He said with a couple hours of research she could get out of the ticket. She reluctantly agreed.

I was surprised that the judge went out of his way to do that. Would have been nice if he gave her a bit more specific information on what to look for though!
