Wheel stud options

Hey guys,

I'm looking for any input on wheel studs for my BRZ. I would like ones that aren't crazy long like the ARP ones so I have come across the nismo ones here

And these from Megan racing
http://www.meganracing.com/product_d...=1750&catid=97. The price of these seems really low compared to the ARP and Nismo ones.

I'm willing to jump for the Nismo ones if they are stronger than OEM and fit.

My searches all seem to return with info on the ARP studs.

Nismo studs are same as OEM, nothing special material-wise.

However, if you have stud strength concerns, I'd suggest you take a look at how you maintain your lug nuts and wheel studs. They only become an issue if they sieze up from buildup (or aren't kept clean on a regular basis). That, and poor wrenching practices.

Thanks for the reply. I have begun to think my issues were probably more related to me than I thought/wanted. The last event is this Sunday, so I'm gonna try to really pay attention to how I'm doing it and trying to keep things clean. After that the only other change will be winter tires.

Not a problem... I find a lot of stud issues are from a misunderstanding of what happens with the stock lug nuts (crappy) and the wheel studs.

If rust ends up on the threads and the lugs are torqued down without cleaning them, it's VERY easy to strip/break a stud. Hell, do the same with ARP and watch them snap.
