drift bar to increase airflow

Those of you that removed the stock bumper beam, has it helped with lowering temps? The more I research, it seems like air flow is the most important above all to keep temps down.

I'm looking at a few drift bar options, any user feed backs on them? Do they need to be welded on or are they plug and play?

Thanks!

For me, personally, it lowered my post turbo intake temps by 20 degrees. So much so, that I'm actually hitting my maf based boost cut. In my case, the stock bumper beam covered 50% of the Intercooler, so it was a great upgrade.

Here is my bar while I was mocking up the duct work. Certainly lets more air in.

Lowered my temps quite a bit and allowed me to re route some of the hot side piping to shorten it.

Might be wise to move them to the top, or the back side of the bumper.
With just a bump there in a hell of a pinch point right now.

I'm running the Drift Armor drift bar on my BRZ.

I haven't logged temps, but I've also done other mods, and I can say that they are working. The drift bar allows a LOT more air in through the front, especially when running a front mount intercooler.
