Nothing new but still a good video. I love how he compares the twins with today's supercars and high horsepower sports cars and says what is great about the twins is that you can actually tap their potential and utilize it in real life driving environments.

What is interesting to me is I think with the advanced fuel injection they re thinking ahead. They could of used port injection. I think this is future proofing for something using such a good FI system. They (Toyota) have a long term plan i suspect. Time will tell.

Funny how he talks about how great the engine is with the advance fuel injection. In my opinion the engine seems to be it's weakest link. Not because of the power, but because of the other issues...rough idle, odd sounds and more failures when boosted that I would like to see.

The rough idle was corrected before the 14s came out.
Odd sounds can be heard in many cars. It just seems worse with the reduced sound deading we have.
Failures when boosted happen. If you just slap a FI system on and don't beef up some of the other parts or get a crappy tune your in for trouble. That is why I am waiting until I can do a full, proper build for FI. These engines work just fine under the conditions they were designed for.
The forum can be especially disheartening as you hear many, MANY more horror stories then good news! How many times will somebody post (for no reason) "never had a single problem with my XXXX"? Don't know how many people are on here (that actually own/drive a twin) but will bet we total less then 10% of the cars sold. The sad part is that some of the less reputable "expert" websites just take what they read here and represent it as proof the car is no good!
In summary it is a $25K to $30K (depending on where you are) sports car not a $300K supercar.
Oh... and go check out the Porsche forum sometime if you think WE have problems!!!!!!!!
