Could have sworn I saw that on the road today. I mean, how can you miss the look of it? Unfortunately, no pics since I was on my way to my gf's place after work.

It's possible. I see a lot of prototype cars in LA. Usually the biggest giveaway is the fact most have manufacturer plates

In the Bay area...lotsa cars are being tested.

On the Miata forums...the ND has been spotted (supposedly) in San Francisco.

Ah. I see. It seems like it happens a lot towards the edge of San Francisco. I got to see the new STI being driven around about a month or two before release.

There are a handful on the road. BMW of Manhattan has one on their showroom floor. My Dealership only has i3's so far
