First come first serve?

I live in north Caroline and was the first and only pre-order at my dealer... I have yet to get a vin or eta for my wrb toy. Does being first on a pre-order mean I should be getting it in the forst shipment or are they filling allocations in other areas first?

FYI a guy in Raleigh already has his and is about 2 hours from me
Thanks for any info provided.

When did you place the "pre"-order? Do you have a VON (not VIN)? If you don't have a VON and your pre-order was before March 1st, make sure your dealership actually ordered your car.

Also, what is the dealership's allocation? If they're only getting 1 or 2, it may not show up for a month or so.

I ordered it first day you could pre-order believe that was February, I got my von that day and is confirmed. They're only allocated 1 . I'm just wondering is my going to be the first shipment or 2nd one..

Ok, first day of ordering was March 1st. If you have your VON you're good. You can call SOA for updates.

Likely the delay is because your dealership is only getting one. Your car will arrive whenever their allocated unit was scheduled to arrive. The allocations were scheduled for between May and November. Likely, I would think it should arrive late June or early July. I don't think Subaru would keep your car until late in the year.

Like Draco said, give SOA a call and check status....don't want to be sitting here waiting if there is a mistake in the system.

From what I understand, when one puts down their deposit with the dealer, they should have entered your order online in their account at Subarunet.com "Sold Order" system and a VON # (vehicle order number) is generated meaning the vehicle is now in the dealer's "pipeline". Subaru customer service reps would have your name in their system under an assigned VON # if you and your vehicle were an active "allocated" sold order -explanation to follow.

My dealer was allocated 10 BRZs for the May-November allocation period. On March 21, I was BRZ customer #11. I have a VON # as the dealer printed out a Summary showing the exact car I ordered with my name on it. But, when I called Subaru customer service yesterday, they had no record of the VON # or me ordering a BRZ. That did give me a bit of concern and the extremely nice Subaru rep called the dealer right away (not knowing I was #11). My salesman contacted me immediately. Turns out, Subaru's customer service reps only see the vehicles that were "allocated" for each dealer. So, as #11 of 10, I am in limbo until they open the next round of dealer ordering allocations where I will then be #1 on the list. Best case scenario is that when my dealer's 4 - "VIN numbered" "June" cars begin to be delivered; my name might then move up and appear down at the bottom of the ten slot "allocated" list! I doubt it. I've pretty much resigned to the possibility I'll take delivery sometime in 2013. Waiting sux!

I would suggest you ask your dealer about the VON # for your car and see if they have an explanation why Subaru "has no idea". Hopefully, they have a dealer assigned VON # for your ordered vehicle and maybe they just don't have your name associated in the Subaru ordering system! Hope you get it figured out!!!
