S2K revived apparently

http://www.carbuzz.com/m/Article.aspx?Id=21784

Anyone see the possibility of mating a manual to a hybrid?

Confirmed: Honda S2000 Will Return to Live
Honda Hybrids Coupe Confirmed Production Sports Cars
This incarnation will be a mid-engined, hybrid coupe.
A few months ago, we reported a rumor stating that Honda was considering a 2017 successor to the epic S2000 roadster. These rumors have now been confirmed, as have the speculations regarding its layout and powertrain. The next-generation S2000 will be powered by a mid-mounted hybrid power unit, mated to a rear-wheel drive configuration. Unlike its drop-top predecessor, the car will arrive in coupe form, at least initially.
Except it's nothing like an S2K. More like an Honda NSX-lite or their version of the MR-2.

Now this has potential! Honda-built, 360 hp MR coupe.

The only thing that worries me is the complexity of a hybrid + turbo drivetrain, but we'll see.

Honda: Just keep it lightweight + manual, and I will definitely consider it. Almost as excited about this as I was about the FT86 concept.

Link is broken now. Just directs to the main page.

Hybrid with a manual isn't something new. Honda already does it with the CRZ.

edit: this link might work http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2014/8/3...-Life-7721784/
