Replacing Pads without doing the rotors

Hey everyone,
Pardon my noob ignorance here. I spent most of my time with my GTI and Ford Fairlane doing the low and slow thing. Towards the end of my time with the GTI and now FRS i have gotten more into HPDE and autox. I still have a lot to learn about maintenance and performance driving, but I'm eager to learn!

After two track days on the FRS i know i need a fluid change. I am going to take this opportunity to change out the lines to stainless ones. I'd like to know if it is acceptable to replace the pads while I'm at it, on the stock rotors. They do not show any signs of wear or failure. I have approx. 13500 miles on them. Last time i did brakes (on the GTI) i did everything due to the rotors not being serviceable.

I am eventually looking to install an AP bbk due to the long term cost advantages and because i anticipate at least 5-7 HPDE events this year into next with no end in sight. Like i said at a minimum i need to do the fluid/lines but if possible id be throwing on some Project Mu HC800+ or carbon tech XP8s maybe tens.

Sorry for the novel here and thank you for your help.

No problem just switching the pads. I swap my OEM pads with my track pads before/after every track day. I'm still on the stock rotors.

If you're going to do that many events over the next year you should definitely swap out the stock pads. Ideally new rotors to go along with the new pads would be great, but if your rotors are still in good condition then just use them till they wear down. You'd probably want to give the rotor face a good clean and scuff the surface till its dull.
