OFT 93 octane fuel economy vs stock map

I was just wondering if anyone has documented or calculated the difference in average fuel economy while running the OFT 93 octane map vs the stock map? I'm going on a long road trip and was wondering if it'd make sense to flash back to the stock tune or if the OFT 93 map and stock map provide about the same economy on long hauls. The trip would be mostly at 75-80 on the freeway (about 30% of the trip) and 60-65 on the highway (about 50% of the trip) if it matters

purely guessing. but i would imagine at highway speeds and your throttle pedal only being depressed a small percentage you would get similar gas mileage as stock. it would be higher up that the difference really comes into play. that is purely assuming on my part.

definitely would like to see what someone with experience has to say.

I have done a few 200 mi trips on both tunes (stg1 91 oct) and noticed no appreciable difference. I made one round way 200 (400 net) on e85 and was pleasantly surprised at the gas mileage, (I cant recall numbers, just remember being pleasantly surprised)

Stock tune does run rather rich, so any tune will probably see you better off.

Thank you for all the replies! I have a basic idea of the freeway/highway mileage I see with the stock tune, so I think I'll just run the OTS tune on the way up and see how it looks!

Since going stage 1, I've been able to get 36.5 mpg on long highway trips while cruising at 65-74. Didn't take too many long trips before going stage 1, so have nothing to compare to. Around town, I typically get ~29 mpg.

I'm running the Stage 1 CBPB maps down to Atlantic City from Eastern Long Island next week so I'll go through probably a tank and a half, mostly highway. I'll report back.

Been using the GasCubby app to track my MPG's since day one...usually average 26-27 for mixed driving before mods. So far it's been in the same area.

Which 93 octane MAP are you talking about? Up until now, all the OTS maps are either 91 octane or e85.

Ah, sorry. I renamed my maps to make them easier to identify on the OST unit...I labeled the "regular" one as 93 Octane (that's what our premium is here), so I (mistakenly) assumed the actual tune was for 93 octane. It's been a while since I messed with it.
