BRZs in NC/SC

Has anyone received their vehicle, or at least their VIN/ETA in NC/SC? According to my dealer (who I wouldn't say I trust completely) no dealers in the Charlotte area have any idea on ETA for their vehicles and I haven't seen any NC/SCers in any of the "Got my VIN/ETA" threads...

This is specifically about the BRZ, as the Scion dealerships here in Charlotte will receive more FR-S models by the end of June than the Subaru dealerships will receive BRZ models for the entire year (which is just depressing for those of us waiting for BRZs).

Oh, that's excellent! I know we have a pretty small NC/SC user count on this site for some reason, I wonder how we can get more of these folks on here!

I wish I trusted my dealership a little more so I didn't feel so uncomfortable asking them questions since I know they'll likely just make something up anyway... Maybe I should consider researching a bit further north since everyone seems to be having better experiences in the Cary/Raleigh/Winston areas judging by the posts here.

His username is "Adub" and he's on the other major BRZ forum. I also wish that he, and others like him, would be active here to centralize our local community.

Your dealer most certainly knows as little as we do, and probably less. Telling you what he did was probably a lame attempt at pacifying you. SoA is definitely going to be a better source of information, and that's not saying much. Just stick with it; your car will be here soon!

I'm still on the waitlist as of 5/29. I Hope that I can get my BRZ before I have to move to Washington. It will suck to have to add a plane ticket to the price to pick up my BRZ, but it would be a fun drive back.
