June 1 release date by Toyota

Just had an online chat with Scion. The rep said that the FR-S will be "released" on June 1st. I pressed him what that actually meant - dealers allowed to sell or port allowed to ship cars to dealers? He said port allowed to ship cars to dealers based on their allotment.

He also said more accessories will be announced on June 1.

I have a PDF of the chat if someone wants to host it (and/or if no one believes me). I also said I was glad it was 6/1; I thought they would wait until June 8 (since the rest of the world writes June 8 as "8/6") but he said no, June 1.

Get excited!

what a laugh.. your talk with the "rep" was a waste of breath..

I went and drove a silver frs over at milton martin toyota in Gainsville GA today.... and I am not one of the "first 86's",, just a old dude looking at a sports car. Dealer I called around metro Atlanta, are all getting some/got some today !

my impression,,,,, scion sales-people know NOTHING about this car. I learned more about the FRS/BRZ?876 through the net than anyone I have talked to at scion, dealer or headquarters.

this is a great $18 - $19 thousand dollar car !... unfortunately, after the dealers get done tacking on all sorts of sheet u don't want or need, and the overpriced msrp,,, your looking at $28,623.......after my test drive , i felt it was underpowered for a SPORTS CAR,,, would have been fine for a corrola or a camry, but this is suppose to be "sporty"...did,nt feel it,,,,and the sound is pathetic,, more like a blender or a vacuum cleaner.... surely Fuji Heavy Industries [ the maker ] could have done a lot better in the exhaust sound department....Just REMOVE the back seat altogether,,, NO human can or should sit back there,,, just make it an extension of the trunk.The Silver {sorento ?} color just did not do it for me..wanted Hot lava, but this dealer was only allocated 1 to start. they have NO showroom and only a few scions on the lot. I was the only person to show serious interest in this car 2 weeks ago [ hence the deposit}

so I did'nt absolutely love it,, maybe after a year or two there will be a top down version or a more HP version .... but something has to change before I think it is a $29-$30 thousand dollar car....

meanwhile I will continue to drive my 2 "paid for" cars and get my "sport" on my Yamaha fjr1300 and KTM duke 690 motorcycles

car is back on the block,,, silver, Auto, with over=priced paint protect film and $400 DOC fee,,, which is just the car dealers way of say " we think we can charge you more for this car".... if interested see Brandon Martin at 678-858-4028
He is suppose to be mailing my $1000 deposit check back to me....

car salespeople are still rated below politicians and dentists,,,, as to who u would want to go see !

OP- Exciting news since supposedly there is a few lingering around where I live. Thank you for reaching out and getting us info.

Ahh, lucas schmucas, a KTM and Yamaha FJR owner. Sorry you didn't like it, hopefully you'll change your mind but if you do, you'll end up paying 32-35K for a higher-power machine. We'd like your company now, but understand why you are reluctant to purchase.

Ummmm... So why are you a member of this forum then? I wouldn't go onto the Cavalier forum and talk dirt about the Cavalier. Yeah, it may suck to me, but it doesn't to them (the Cavalier that is)
For a first post, it sure seems like an odd way to introduce yourself to the group.
