Aftermarket Amp locations?

I have a huge 6 channel amp that I still have yet to cleanly set up. It's really big, so i'm not sure how I'm going to do it, but I'll figure it out lol. I just wanted to ask everyone else to post a picture of their amp setups!

Before the 6 channel amp, I was running a mono for my subs and placed it under the carpet on the top right side of the spare tire. I had to remove the Styrofoam in order to do this, but it didn't hurt anything. Anybody do anything different?

You can place it below the rear windows shelf (trunk side) or remove the StyroFoam and buld some mountings there ... another "iwlde idea" is to put in under roof where the rear passenger are sitting

I removed the foam piece in the back by the rear seats and built a rack with some MDF. Put some carpet on the MDF, bolted my amp and crossovers to it and then locked it down with some velcro and some holes drilled in the bottom to engage the 3 white plastic pieces that are used to keep the foam in place. The back right corner of the carpet is elevated a tiny bit (about 1/4"), but unless you're looking for it, you wouldn't notice.

There's a lot of space with a lot of air behind the rear seat side panels. So long as your settings are correct when you put it in, the difficult access shouldn't be a problem. You'd have to fabricate some brackets, but it's good useless space that'll let your amp breathe some.

I was mocking up the best places to install my giant amps (and smaller ones). My goal was to keep rear seat functionality and maximize trunk space.

The complications with going under the carpet are that you make the amp a load floor, expose it to wet conditions, and reduce its ability to stay cool. Minor gripes... but we should be able to find a more optimal solution.

My favorite 2 spots:

1) Build them into the arm-rest area for the rear passengers. This might compromise the rear fill speakers.

2) Mount them fore-aft in the trunk. Like this:

Here's an amp mounted by the rear seat. Its a tC, but gives you an idea how it would look. Also, here's a link to the build:
