Widest rear tire for a staggered setup?

I know most people want the more neutral handling afforded by not running a staggered tire setup, but has anyone tested to see what the widest rear tire that fits in the stock body is?

Just out of curiosity/someone may want wider rear tire.

After looking under the car, it seems like a 255 should be very doable back there, but I wanted to know if anyone has tried anything yet.

Mr C at P-Tuning said it looks like you can run a 285, which is mammoth.

Im not sure about that though since Ive heard you can fit up to a 10" wide wheel, which is 254mm.

Yeah it looked like there was probably about 2.5" of space to be gained over stock from a quick glance, which puts it in the 280mm range.

There was a pic with 245's all around I believe as well. Pretty decent space around those wheels on the Zx6.

You must really hate oversteer.

Im sure 90% of the posters on here understand what happens to handling when you run a staggered setup, but its still nice to build a database of what works and what doesnt for future modders that may be more interested in straight line performance or looks then cornering.

With that said, Id prefer a square setup

I don't even own an FR-S. My car came staggered and I switched to the same size all around.

I was asking for curiosity/people who ask me and because I was looking under the car.
