these stock pads suck...

I'm really underwhelmed with the pads on this car... my last car was a G8 GXP with factory 13.5" 4-piston brembos with hawk ceramics and they had much more feel and bite. previous to that i had a cobalt ss turbo which had 12.5" 4-piston brembos with stock ferodo 2500 pads and i loved them(after i boiled the stock fluid and then swapped to super blue). before that i had a 04 Mustang GT with 13" cobra brakes running Hawk HPS pads.

What fits this effin car that doesnt suck? I want to run something similar to the ferodo 2500 but i'm out of the loop on what compares to what anymore. I do a lot of mountain driving so i'd like something a bit aggressive.. I think i made the 3 hour trip to trail of the dragon about 15 times in the past 3.5 yrs. All i ask for is reasonable rotor life, the ability to stop on my way to work on a cold pad and not having to worry about overheating the pad during a 7 minute run up a mountain...

To me it feels like these pads are good for 2 turns and then they change. i've never experienced this in any of my other cars i've owned.

Since you are comparing it to cars with Brembos, what stopping you from getting some brembos?

Look, 13.5" 4 piston brembos

Ferodo makes 2500 pads for these cars, why not just buy those if you liked them?

STI Brembo will be another option.

You must not have looked too hard... I've had DS2500's on my car for over a year now and they've been great. I'm starting to outgrow them on the track, but they're still great daily/autocross pads.
