Has anyone painted their brake calipers?
Has anyone tried to paint their brake calipers in the world rally blue color. I feel like it would look nice but wanted to see if anyone has done it already themselves. (provide pictures if you have

I've painted mine blue, not WRB though. They are behind the wheels so the colour difference isn't noticeable.

Go to any auto body paint store and have them match the color to your spesific paint code. After applying a couple coats for the base, allow a good amount of drying time. The next step would to use a gloss clear coat. I usually use the high temp stuff you can find at any auto part store. Gives it a nice finished look and makes it a whole lot easyer to clean.

Just because it comes out of a can doesn't mean it has to look like doo doo. Take the time , spend the cash and do it right

Was one kit enough to do all 4 calipers? Just barely enough ... wish I had a little more? More than enough ... could have done another caliper?
Thanks, Arvid

G2 Epoxy Kit looks amazing. Where could I purchase it and how much did the G2 Kit cost. Finally, did you have to disassemble the brake calipers?

The method I used was to jack up the car and remove all four wheels. I then removed all the brake calipers, but I left the brake lines attached. Then I just went around the car and painted them. By the time I finished all four calipers they were dry enough to start the second coat. I did this about six months ago and its still holding up great. |

Do you think you could have done the brackets with what was left in the can? At $100 for the color matched kit I'd like to either find that their standard red is a very close match to the Scion red and I can then get two $50 standard kits to be sure or hear that the single kit will go the distance. Thanks for the info, Arvid

It is amazing. I left the calipers and brackets bolted to the car. I loosed the upper and lower caliper mounting bolts. The completely removed the lower caliper bolt and hinged it upward giving me full access to all of it. Removed the brake pads, Cleaned and scrubbed them up with brake clean and a tooth brush. Then I used either a wire to hold caliper up or wedged a small block of wood between rotor and bottom of caliper. And went to town painting
