Motorists Beware: How your State ranks

http://www.motorists.org/2014-states-ranking/

Driving through several cities here in WA I feel like big brother is always watching and see I camera's on poles at intersections all over the place.

I spent my youth dreaming about leaving Utah, now looking at this Utah seems a bit more appealing... No nevermind, j/k.

Seems to be a trend of less population = better score. Not surprised...

Interesting, none of the states in the best 20 have significant population density.

There other significant correlation is that of fiscal responsibility. The 20 worst have a responsibility score of under 10 with the exception of WV, averaging a 7.7. The 20 best states have an average fiscal responsibility score of 11.45.

All the categories add up to a higher score, so in that they all have a correlation, it just seems to me the fiscal responsibility category appeared more consistent and significant along with the population density.

I don't think it's necessarily along the political divide either, regarding fiscal responsibility in this chart because they define their category of fiscal responsibility specifically to transportation:

Quote:
State Fiscal Responsibility:
Quote:
Measures how effectively a state uses revenue generated from motorists for the sole purpose of maintaining and improving public roadways.

Whenever you get those thoughts, just remember the smell of dead and dying brine shrimp blowing off the lake in the heat of July.

Figured MD would be #6

I hate driving anywhere NEAR the I-32 or I-100 corridor at anyplace or anytime

More cops than damn drivers, just waiting with nothing to do other than stop people going 3mph over the limit, smh

New York is 2nd, but i can go speeding in PA and NJ without points...so i'm satisfied.

I'm confused...everyone here goes 15 over without getting tickets.

Wished monster potholes was a factor too. Would solidify nj/NY in the top ranks.
