Wheel Directory: Volk Racing TE37 18x8.5 +35

This is the first square setup I've seen with this wheel in this size... gets its own topic now.

So far I am really happy. I have wanted Te37's since before I bought my Evo 6 back in 2008. The are not that common over here in Sweden/Europe atleast, and I think they really fit the 86. Yes, people already commented "nice rotas"..

True, (like so many told me) I think I might need coilovers or atleast some lowering springs, perhaps the STI/BRZ ones, to get it down atleast a inch, but with the state of the roads around here (really bad) and the city center being speedhumping central, I kind of like it at stock height for day to day operations. Considering to get the PWD JDM front splitter, and going an inch lower will make it eat all the speedbumps (or I have to take a mazelike detour everytime passing trough the city.)

Only thing is that I sometimes get a "klonk" sound from the left front when I back out from my garage and turn the wheel to the max, but far from every time.

How does the added height work out with your car undropped? Does the car feel more boat like?

I probably will get a set of those next year when i begin to work on suspension and wheels.

I had the camera down low so it looks a little higher from that angle. I'm running Ohlins coilovers and the car is lowered between 0.75" and 1".

Even if someone was running the stock suspension, the overall diameter of the wheel is very close to stock so the car wouldn't sit higher.

I took a few more pictures @Conn. Album here:
http://ImageEvent.com/kster1/cars/brz/20130802

Once again, these are 18x8.5 +35 with 225/40/18 Dunlop ZII tires (a mild drop on Ohlins).

A couple that I liked:
