PTuning oil scavenging pump

Can anyone shed some light as to whether it's electrical or mechanical? I can't find any info on the unit they use.

It's electrical but it would be interesting if you could replace it with the OE mechanical one...

I'm interested in the kit, I just don't like the reliability of electric pumps..last think I want is lack of oil in a FI application. I may just fab up my own bottom mount setup and save some cash. I'll shoot them a message and see what other option I can go with. thanks guys.

Like I mentioned, the OEM mechanical pump Subaru uses on the FA20DIT can be used on our engines, it's what AVO is using for their scavenging pump. You just need a plate to bolt it onto the block and perhaps use a different fitting, which is exactly what AVO did. The pump isn't very expensive, I think around $85.
