Anyone running straight exhaust with turbo?

As per title, keen to hear a video of anyone running a turbo 86 with just a straight exhaust.

I can't find a muffler design I like. And I wonder if it'll really be all that loud anyway.
I have a track pipe and straight front pipe as well now, but still with the cat in the stock headers, and I've gotten used to it.

A friend has a straight pipe on his sti drift car, and it's much louder than my car currently is. But I wasn't sure if this was because he was using a twin scroll.

Thanks in advance.

the difference in sound levels will increase dramatically once you change out the stock headers. the sti drift car is probably running 3" all the way back. majority of the turbo kits / supercharger setups on here right now aren't full 3" setups so they wouldn't sound as loud as an STi. take your track pipe off and turn your car on with just the straight midpipe, it should sound similar / a bit louder than what you would get with a straight pipe.

Mine is a full 3" turbo back and its loud. I've heard it without a muffler and I wouldn't want to drive it any more than I had too.

The exhaust housing will make some difference but 3" turbo back and no muffler is very loud, and drone is pretty bad.

I have straight through with a Perrin muffler and it's loud. I can't imagine what it would sound like without a muffler. Currently running 2.5" straight through off the turbo into a Perrin 3" catback

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAMd0bOCFco"]3" Perrin Non-Resonated on a AVO Turbo BRZ (catless) - YouTube[/ame]

It's since broken in a little bit and become a tad bit louder. The drone is very noticeable at 100km/h and higher on the highway.

I run 3" to 2.5" catless/resonatorless but have a muffler and it is quiet at idle and just right everywhere else.. (except I have an open dump pipe so at WOT its insanely loud).

I think without a muffler it would be too much.

My car is kinda nice sounding atm, but id love it being louder. I have plans of changing my nameless down pipe to a straight version, and maybe build a midpipe with a varex muffler + a muffler in the axle back versus my current setup which has a cat+res in the downpipe (op/fp) a res in the midpipe and the two res in the axle back.
