Brother from another mother
I thought I spotted a twin today. Turns out it was this...
http://www.maserati.us/maserati/us/e...smo_sport.html Never saw one before or if I did then I did not noticed the similarity. |

They dont like anything alike. My best friend has one and we put them side by side and found no similarities up close. From a distance most sports cars will look the same mostly because of how they need to be designed for performance.

They all share that generic GT coupe shape:

Every sports car will have the same generic shape for aero reasons.. Kinda like how every airplane has the same generic shape.. Your gonna compare a fighter jet to a regular airplane? Just because they look the same?

Really not similar. It's like comparing a school bus to a ferarri.

All those cars are huge compared to the twins...I had a 997 911S park next to me yesterday and we're even probably 6-10 inches shorter (it was hard to estimate) and right about the same height. The AM, Maserati, those are long low wide GT cars.

They of course are completely different cars, but they do have styling similarities, which no other reasonably priced sports cars have. I have made the same mistake as the OP on first glance thinking it was twin, but then of course realized it was a Maserati. Interestingly, every time I've passed a Maserati, I've noticed the driver giving MY FRS a long look. I think it says a lot about the styling of the twins that this conversation is even happening when you consider our cars cost $100,000 less.
