OEM front camber bolts

I just ordered a set from my local Subaru dealer. My question is, are these to be used if you are self 'aligning', or should I install them prior to getting a shop to do the alignment to allow him to get the ability to give more correction? Like will they know how to make use of these bolts or is it a waste to get them?

Definitely before getting an alignment. Just tell them you have them your desired amount of camber (or tell them to max them out, which isn't that much anyway).

Since you probably don't have any alignment tools and equipment on hand, I suggest you take the bolts with you to an alignment shop, have them install it for you, and get an alignment at the same time. Yes, you can probably install it yourself, but you'll never get a precise alignment without the necessary equipment and know-how. Alignment shops deal with these bolts all the time, as 90% of the cars on the road nowadays have MacStruts with no camber adjustability. With the crash bolts, you can can dial in some negative camber, or use it for camber correction. Also, keep in mind that even with the crash bolts, you can only align the toe and camber up front and only toe in the rear in stock form.

A good shop will know exactly what to do with these bolts.
