Rear Lower Control Arms

Hi all,

I don't recall seeing too much comparison info on rear lower control arms... what makes a good design and if there are any features that are specific to various uses. So many brands out there that look slightly different, but similar. Also curious if certain construction material, steel vs aluminum, is significant.

I'm installing ST coilovers for my daily driver (no track use) with 235/40-18s, but want to keep at minimum the great handling aspects of our twins. Not sure how low the drop will be, depending on the clearance I need for some driveway entries. I want to keep a balanced alignment to avoid unnecessary tire wear if possible so I would like to set the camber adjustments evenly and near stock.

Thanks in advance for any helpful comments.

If you're not going to do any tracking, I would go with SPC Rear LCAs and call it a day. They are cheap and do exactly what you need. They only offer 2 degrees, which should be plenty unless you're dropping real low.

This is what I did and they have been excellent. The second version is what I bought. Was able to get alignment exactly to racecomp engineering's recommendations (I have konis and rce yellows).
