Which wire is "Low Beam"?

Hi All:

I have a 2013 10 Series FRS, I'm trying to install fog lights onto it. I watched the Diode Dynamic Video and in the video there is a red/black wire only. On my car, I have TWO REDs and ONE black.

I've googled search the wiring and it says Low Beam is Light Blue? Which I really don't think so.

Could someone tell me which wire to tap into? Whether it's the Red Wire with the Stripe, the Red Wire with Silver dot?

If I had a volt meter I would run a test, but I don't have one.

Hey wats up hopefully I can help. I too have a 10series and the way I tapped the wires was into the side marker lights. The black wire from the foglights are connected to the black wire in the side markers. The red wire from the foglights are connected to the white wire on the side markers. Best of luck on your install. Foglights would then run under the park lights.

You have to remember that that install is using a regular FR-S with separate low/hi beams. You have a 10 series that comes with a factory bi-xenon setup which is different. So like the previous poster suggested maybe use the side markers or contact diode and see if they have installed this on a 10 series already so they can tell you which wire to tap.

So does that mean they only turn on with the parking lights? Or will they still turn on with the headlights?

Since black is ground, can't I just tap it to a screw?

I did talk to them and they said I can also tap into the side markers... I was a little confused from their message so I didn't wanna keep bothering them... LOL

Parking lights stay on with headlights. But your fogs will also come on with parking lights if that matters to you.

From the picture it looks like you are going from the driver side?
The low beam is pin#5. I know it's thicker and red with a brown plug on the passenger side. This is confirmed because I wired my resistor to it. I'm not 100% on driver side, The colors seems to differ on the driver side so I suspect (logically) it is the thick teal one with brown plug.

Sounds like tapping into the side marker is a lot easier than the headlight. I'll poke around my engine bay later today.

Probably so. I hear a lot of people tapping into the Sidemarkers with the diode kit. Let us know how it goes and installed pics.

Yes they will come on with park lights. Keep us posted hope it will be an easier install for you by tapping into the side markers. If it helps I also purchased the Diode Dynamics kit which is awesome for the price.

Op the solid blue wire in your picture is the low beam. The Brown under that is your led.

In the passenger side solid red is low beam, Brown is led.

Tap into the blue if you want fogs to come on with your low beams.

Is the side marker harness the loom that goes under the light harness?

Is it the red one I'm looking at?

The solid red? On the connector on the left (with like 5 wires?)
