Someone backed in to me (damage and repair pics inside)

Before I start, I would like to say the point of this thread is to get opinions on what should be expected from a repair shop. I'm really dissatisfied in the panel fitment; it looks like they frame pulled the radiator support/front apron, they really brought the front end out of alignment.

I already took it back to the shop where they tried to relocate the bumper, unfortunately, all of the tolerances for the mounting points were maxed out all the way back.

Anyway, some dummy backed into me while I was at work. Really messed up the front driver's side corner.

Ended up having to replace the bumper (torn), headlight (mounting brackets ripped off), healight surround (cracked), and fender (obviously). My clear Helix side marker was destroyed, insurance only paid to replace the one, so I guess I have to buy a pair again.

Fortunately, aftermarket bumpers and fenders aren't readily available yet, so I got OEM stuff, so at least I have that going for me, which is nice.

But the worst is when your insurance adjuster says they have it on the frame puller...

The shop did a good job with the paint, I can only see slight difference under bright fluorescent light.

But here's my issues post repair issues. The bumper is crooked so after taking it back once I decide to fiddle with it myself. I remove the upper bolts for the bumper/hood seal and move the bumper so that the hood gap is reduced. Unfortunately, when in this "correct" position where the bumper's lines line up with the body lines none of the bolts line up anymore. And the bumper has a gap by the hood that gets larger from passenger to drivers side.

They definitely over pulled the radiator support/apron. Is this something that the shop should be liable to fix?

All that from just getting backed into?! I admit, I clicked on this thinking I'd see someone whining about some scratches on their bumper. Frame damage too? Jeez...

Lets hope no one shows us a video of testing our small overlap crash test.

At 1:04 is that sand/dirt coming out of the Bel-Air? lol

Overlap...eh, pretty much doomed in most cars, so I'm not going to obsess over it

Looks like a truck or suv backed up into it and wasn't paying attention.

Yes, fortunately the guy didn't leave the scene. I got his info and insurance paid.

I'm just not satisfied with the results of the repair. The bumper just doesn't line up anymore. The question is how big of a pain in the butt should I be to the shop? Should they fix this?

dude, I am so sorry this has happened to you. A few nights ago I had a nightmare somebody hit my 86 and I did not want to settle for repairs as I knew it would never be the same, and I did not want a new one because I have an original early model hot lava.

I woke up sweating.

Yes, the shop is responsible for it. I would do everything and anything I can to get it fixed. Your paying for a professional job to restore the car to factory conditions, you did not receive that service.

Same situation as going to a restaurant, ordering food, and it show up still raw. Do you complain or just eat the raw food?

Yes, they should fix it. I had scratches/gouge on my driver and passenger rear body above the wheels when I took it to get it tinted (They damage my car and didn't want to admit it). I got it repaired using my comprehensive because there was no proof the tint shop did it. The body shop that I went to said if I caught any problems with the paint or anything wrong to come back and they will repair it for free. I caught a paint chip on my rear bumper next to my driver side taillight and the driver side window was making an unusual noise. They fixed it on the spot and gave me free touch up paint.
