Need some help building my f.i charge pipe

Hey everyone,

I ordered an fa20club turbo kit about 4 months ago and parts have been coming in slow and I am sick of bugging this guy to ship my already paid for products. I don't have time to wait for this guy anymore as racing season is starting soon, so I'm forced to build my own upper charge pipe. I have everything but the upper charge pipe and a couple other non crucial parts. Keep in mind I am injecting water/meth and trying to keep it 4-5" before the throttle body.

I just ordered my bov vband flange, a fitting to screw my water/meth nozzle into, and I'm making my own maf sensor flange. However due to limited space in the pipe, I am thinking I have to put my maf sensor right BEFORE a bend. Will this still cause turbulence even tho it's not after the bend? The blow off valve would be located roughly 8" from the maf sensor back down the pipe. Would this also cause an issue?

Thanks everybody in advance.

Here's a attached pic of what I was thinking. It's so tight for room and straight piping its crazy. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1397181490.982407.jpg

Before is certainly better then after. This is why I really don't like MAF's they can be touchy, SD allows much more freedom. If you are concerned you could put a honeycomb in the pipe.

And if you want one I have a whole bunch of aluminum MAF flanges.

I see no issues with that other than the same issue that some of us have had utilizing the TiAL Q BOV that close to the MAF sensor. Just make sure the BOV stays closed so that it can't create any turbulance in the air going to the MAF in high vacuum conditions and you will be fine.

I just clued into something that you said as I read it walking out of work. I am using the turbosmart race port bov. I didn't pick the tial. Does the turbosmart still have the same problem?

It works the same way as the TiAL Q utilizing a spring that you can swap out:
