Can't decide between EVO3 and Q300
Anyone have any experience with the Greddy Evo 3 and the Invidia Q300? I want something decent sounding, but not over the top loud. Had the Greddy SP Elite axle back, and was just hoping for something a bit more that I could add on to later.
Thanks! |

If you thought the SP Elite to be too tamed, you probably shouldn't bother with the Q300.
I like my Evo3 with silencers on: ballsy but tolerable. Did I mention you want the silencers ON?

The sp doesn't give you much but a shiny tip. Evo3 catback will take your car to the next level. If you want a little dimmer then put the silencer on as an option. You get 2 exhaust sounds for the Evo3. It's like buy one get 2 sounds. good deal

I love my evo3. It is rather loud but like they stated above the silencers make a world of difference.

So it comes with the silencers when it ships? Or do you have to order it with it?

I like the Q300 as it looks very stock and just has a nice low rumble.
Good choice if you plan to get headers later on and don't want the car to be too loud. |

Evo3 and Q300 are two different beasts, if you want something quiet but sounds good up top then go with the q300, if you want something loud and has a nice tone all the time go for the Evo3, I've had both and enjoyed the Evo3 more due to the tone but the downfall is heavy drone. You probably won't notice a difference in sound over stock with the q300 if you only have the catback FYI.

Just threw on the Evo3 Last night ... with my setup its like the apocalypse around my car on cold start ups and I do notice a drone (I dunno if its drone or just the boominess of the bassy exhaust cause it massages my seat, not only do I feel the rumble but I feel the boxer beat lol) around 2500 - 3500 rpms. I think my neighbors will hate me soon, I got the look last night after installing and starting the car, fingers are crossed some carbon build up and breaking it in will quiet it down a hair.
