ark test pipe

I have the Ark performance DT-S exhaust system and I love everything about it. However the past couple of days i been considering replacing the stock front pipe. I need a few questions asked because it seems like not a lot of people are using the ARK test pipe on their cars and i would assume that using the same parts from the company would work together.

what would yall suggest to attach to the DT-S.

Front pipe and overpipe with a high flow cat. Unbeatable price for the quality. Turns two pieces into one creating a straighter exhaust path with one less place to have a leak.

I don't think any aftermarket front pipe or overpipe is going to sound much different from another if they both have cats or both do not. They will all sound different than stock. I have no idea how it will sound with the ark dt-s. I believe going from stock to any aftermarket front pipe generally results in more volume more low tone and more rasp. Hopefully someone can point you at ark dt-s videos with front pipes as well. Good luck!

I would assume the Ark pipe and a non-catted Nameless pipe would sound almost identical. At that point they are very similar in function. There just isn't a video example that shows all these different combos though. It's getting there slowly as more and more people pitch in...

just had a long conversation with the guys over at nameless and they were extremely helpful and answered all my questions about their product. I also took time to read all the reviews about this combo down and over pipe and i couldn't find one complaint. Only thing that worries me would be the install because i dont have a lift and i need to raise the engine a little

If I may make one suggestion it is this. If you ever plan on getting a header you should do that first. More power to be had. It has a similar impact on sound in terms of volume and rasp. Equal length vs unequal length will play a very large part in tone.

Lots of folks have worked back to front and then been unhappy with the sound. Work front to back and when you are happy with power vs sound stop

I have the ARK test pipe. Main different between this front pipe and the nameless pipe is the resonator. Nameless has options for resonated and u resonated, but they use inline resonators, whereas the ARK uses a desperate helmholtz resonator. I have a muffler delete and read it could have quite a bit of rasp and drone and the helmholtz really cut it down. You have mufflers you might not need the helmholtz. It would be more money for an ARK and perrin overpipe, that's what I'm running. Different strokes for different folks
