Sunday, March 23 - St. Patrick's Lucky Road Rally

From the same club that hosts Autocross and Rallycross racing, SCCA Hawaii is hosting its first annual Road Rally on Sunday, March 23!

We had a successful Road Rally event 2 years ago: 30+ cars with drivers and navigators drove 50 miles on the streets of Honolulu while keeping track of their time, distance, and speed (limited to speed limit of the roads, of course), plus they had to answer questions along the way. Think of it as a car cruise with tricky instructions, as the fastest car does not necessarily win.

This year's Road Rally starts at the state park at the Tantalus Lookout area, takes you on roads throughout Honolulu, and ends at Schooners Restaurant in Pearl Harbor. There will be prizes from PakShak, Tony Nissan, MINI of Hawaii, and SCCA Hawaii for both winners and participants.

If we can get 5 or more BRZ/FR-S vehicles participating in our Road Rally, we will give away a FR-S RC car to the top winner from the FT86 Club!

Additional Details: Meet in the large parking lot of the state park at the Tantalus Lookout area. Registration and Tech Inspection start at 8AM, Drivers Meeting at 9AM and first car out around 9:30AM. Lunch about 1100-1115 am at Schooner's.

Registration fees are $20 for each car. We are limiting this event to 30 vehicles. Only checks or money orders payable to SCCA Hawaii-Rally will be accepted at the event.

Please note that the non-member fee includes an SCCA Weekend membership and will give you a $15-discount towards full SCCA membership, which includes a subscription to SportsCar, our national magazine.

While the event is not a spectator event (i.e. SCCA Hawaii Rally won't charge for viewing), we know that you may want to bring your family and friends to ride along. Each participating vehicle will be allowed one “navigator” and other vehicle occupants are allowed. All vehicle occupants must sign a waiver and fill out a SCCA Weekend Membership form. For this event SCCA Weekend Membership fees are waived for volunteers and passengers.
