TRD CAI Filter

Has anyone had the TRD CAI long enough to need to clean/replace their filter (the larger filter)?

I haven't peaked in mine, just 9 months so far. But I vaguely remember it looked like an AEM dry filter material that could be washed and re-used.

Anyone actually do it yet?

You have one, why not open up the box and look? It will literally take you 30 seconds.

You're super helpful.

I've looked, and there are plenty of pictures. It 'looks' reusable. I haven't found any indication that explicitly states it is.

I think I remember reading to use the k&n recharge kit to clean it.

Yes it can be washed. Get a K&N kit from your local auto store, spray it down with the cleaner, wash it, let it dry and you are good to go

K&N kit, treat it like any other K&N filter because I'm pretty sure that's all it is anyway, lol.

What about the oil? You managed to fuck up a 3 step process. Clean. Dry. Oil.

Get a K&N Recharge kit and follow the directions. Do not listen to people on the interweb. (except for myself, naturally)

Did you not read the instructions that came with the intake? How about reading the description on TRD's website? It clearly states that its reusable.

Of course I did. Which is why I made this post. I was really hoping to get you to sarcastically reply and then post the answer I had already found so I could read it all over again.

All sarcasm aside, I never went to TRD's actual site and now that I'm looking at it again, I completely missed the line on it at trdparts.com.

Thanks!
