K&N oil filter pn#?

So I was looking into getting an oil filter mag so I looked up the size of my k&n oil filer to buy the right sized mag and noticed something. K&N has the HP-1004 as the brz/fr-s filter but other vendors and dealers have it as the HP-1008. Now I'm not sure which is the correct part or if they both fit? The 1008 has a smaller diameter than the 1004 also. So basically which one is the better or correct one?

Ok thanks for the stock filter advice and I know the stocker is good but that wasn't my question. K&N same as the Mobil 1 filter makes a good filter from most of the reviews I've read on different oil/car forums. I also like the welded nut at the top for easy removal and the white casing matching with my white car is a bonus. So all I'm asking is which one is the proper part number that's all. Thanks
