Rear bumper protector

So both of the dealerships I could get cars at both state they are getting some rear bumper protection film that has the Scion logo on it, and it's being done at the port. Does anyone have any clue what this looks like on the car? I don't really want another Scion logo on my car, I would prefer a clean rear bumper.

It sounds like this is going to be on the top of the bumper right behind the trunk. Anyone have any ideas or images of this on another car?

Edit: I found an image on scion.com for the TC. GROSS. Does anyone know what this is? Is this just clear vinyl or is it some other type of film that I won't be able to remove easily? It says "easy pressure sensitive application" so it sounds like vinyl.

It's the rear bumper applique and is a port option that cost extra. Sounds like they are pawning extra options on you.

I think they're actually trying to sell their demo cars at this point to get extra cash instead of placing them on the floor since they'd be coming in BEFORE the June 1st on-sale date. They'd then just put one of the cars they get later on the floor, so thats why they are trying to sell it with the add-ons, and not trying to get them removed. Just my hunch on this.

It does serve a purpose (protects the bumper paint when you are dragging things in and out of the trunk). Interestingly enough I asked my dealer about it and was told it wasn't available. I saw it on the ones in LB and kind of liked it really.

The fewer stickers, decals, etc. the better IMO.

I like to remove all the stick on stuff and leave just the front and rear brand logo.

As for not having a choice in the matter, I'd just tell them to not do it/remove it or I won't buy it.

My dealer had it as an option, but the only option I selected was the 3m paint protect.

It's a gimmick unless you really think you're gonna scratch the hell out of your rear bumper taking things in and out. Sold tons of them to xB/xD owners when I worked for My Scion Warehouse

After seeing this on a silver car one it's hardly noticeable. It seemed like the scion logo was a texture rather than a color, but the silver car could have fooled me.

I'd still prefer not to have it, and I specifically requested my car with NO options, but we'll see.

Once it's on the actual window sticker (and not on a dealership sticker as an add-on), they can't remove it. So you'd have to find another model without it.

Just got my VIN today! Very excited....but I told them no options as well and they still ordered it with the trunk mat and the rear bumper applique.

Has anyone removed their rear bumper applique successfully? Does it peel off easily?

Thanks!

On Raven it (the Scion logo) looks like silver metal flake.
