Its for activating the factory alarm in the twins. Looks like it worked in my car but not sure of a way to test it haha. |

You can see when its activated by looking in through your window when the vehicle is locked, and you will see a red flashing (slow flashing) lock on the cluster (located in between the center of the tach, and the 3 rpm range.

Yeah mine is flashing now but didnt before i found that thread and activated it. best part is Toyota tried to sell me an aftermarket alarm haha

does this work for the regular FR-S and BRZ Premium? I though the alarm only came with the Limited and the 10-series.

i dont know of a way to test the alarm on my regular FR-S but after i did the "code" (or whatever you call it) my "car with lock symbol" now flashes when the car is off. Never did that before. maybe its a fake alarm? lol

I believe one way to actual test is roll down your window, lock your car, now try to reach through open window and unlock via inside handle. If it is activated that will sound the alarm.
