Factory Alarm System
Don't know if anyone has seen this yet but check it out http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11049
Its for activating the factory alarm in the twins. Looks like it worked in my car but not sure of a way to test it haha. |
You can see when its activated by looking in through your window when the vehicle is locked, and you will see a red flashing (slow flashing) lock on the cluster (located in between the center of the tach, and the 3 rpm range.

Yeah mine is flashing now but didnt before i found that thread and activated it. best part is Toyota tried to sell me an aftermarket alarm haha
|
Glad you figured it out! On a side note, what is that ECO light for haha? ^^^^ Just noticed that
|
does this work for the regular FR-S and BRZ Premium? I though the alarm only came with the Limited and the 10-series.
|
i dont know of a way to test the alarm on my regular FR-S but after i did the "code" (or whatever you call it) my "car with lock symbol" now flashes when the car is off. Never did that before. maybe its a fake alarm? lol

I'll try locking it with the remote (buttons on the key) and then using the actual key to unlock the door to see what happens later today. |
My security light has always flashed when I lock the car ever since I've owned the car.:iono:

ok well looks like i got over zealous :bonk:. i think you have to have the push button start and key fob in order to have the alarm. hence BRZ limited, 10 series and now Monogram. BOOOOOOO
