How long to wait to put x-pel shield on after bumper re-painted? - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

Hi all. As the topic says, I recently had my whole front bumper re-painted and I want to put an X-Pel Ultimate shield on ASAP as I did not put one on when I first got my car and regretted how many rock chips I accrued.

I know that the paint will take a long set fully, but I want to know what is a safe/good amount of time to wait before getting this put on.

I often hear that 30 days is the average time one should wait before waxing, opti-coating, etc., but I don't know if it is the same or different for a product like an x-pel/clear shield.

Any information/opinion on how long I should wait would be appreciated. Thanks!

I've wrapped parts as soon as a week after paint. My bumper on my Gti was a week after I painted it and it has been 3 years. No issues. I tell my customers 3 weeks to be safe
