Got my first FR-S part in today (Oil Filter)

Well I got the first part I've ever ordered for the ZN6 in today, which is always exciting .

I'm thinking pricing on these is probably going to get adjusted (along with most other FR-S parts) in Canada eventually, since the pricing is quite high right now, but we'll see how that goes in the long run.

Still people were asking, and I can confirm that it's the same as the other new Subaru oil filters:

Sweet. Thanks for posting a picture of the packaging with part number also. I want to run that past my vendors and see what the off the shelf equivalents are. I really hope the PL14610 will work.

"Toyota Genuine Parts"... Oh the irony. I guess they do own 16.5%% of Fuji Heavy Industries, so... sorta?

The "Made in Japan" part is all I care about. They're probably not made by Subaru, either. The Toyota oil filters we sold were made in Thailand, which is fine too.

They are made by Denso which, as you may have guessed, is part of Toyota.

They are not made by Denso, they are made by Tokyo Roki.

Most common Toyota filters are Denso filters made in Thailand, but you can get Japanese-made ones if you put in the effort. They are quite a bit different.

It's nice that they are (for now) made in Japan, although it's cheaper to buy them at Subaru than it is at Toyota (by large margins) at the moment.
