How is CT not part of New England?

Is anyone else irritated that CT wasn't grouped in with New England? I mean, we are part of New England, and I live closer to MA, VT, and RI than I do NY....

People from Connecticut act like New Yorkers, most of them root for New York sports teams, they put "New England" style in front of chowder, Western Connecticut is metro NYC, it's not really New England.

Haha, I live in hartford county and let me tell you, we are NE. Went to college in Boston, all my family migrated here to CT from VT and ME. I am a new englander and proud of it.

CT is considered tri-state. I've seen most from Western CT act if they from NY so in more ways than not because the city culture is wide were we live. That saying, CT is CT and still will never be NY.

Not even close to true. Except for the pseudo New Yorkers that sleep in western CT & Fairfield county and work in NY, the rest of the state is definitely New England. But what really clinches it for Subaru owners is that CT dealer cars come from SoNE *not* from SDC like NY.

I will be posting to the New England forum.
