HT Autos lip kit or JDM STI kit

I'm deeply conflicted...

I love the look of the ht autos lip kit, however I really want to refrain from drilling into the body....

I also like the the STI kit, but it's a lot of money, which I'm not too concerned about but it doesn't require drilling into the body and I'm unsure if I'll be happy with it.. And spending that kind of money and not being happy with it might piss me off a little bit haha.

What is everyone's thoughts?

It'll be going on a World Rally Blue Brz

Thanks for your input!

The STi kit is well worth the money but it is completely up to personal preference. The HT kit will be easier to remove from the car itself if need be while the STi kit uses double sided tape on the sides of the car. The fitment on the STi kit is of course being an OEM+ part, spot on with no odd gaps. Aftermarket kits, you can run into fitment issues.

I totally agree with you on drilling into the metal of the body. The STi kit uses clips on the body and requires you to drill a hole into the splash guards in the front fender well. The front lip to fit correctly has you drill into the bumper. The rear spats use pre drilled holes for the entire application, maybe one hole (do not remember when I installed mine).

Obviously it is up to you, but the STi kit in my opinion is the best looking kit out there while costing a ton of money. You get what you pay for, just remember. If you are slammed and have a ton of bumps where you would be rubbing the front lip, I would go with the HT auto one since it will not cost a lot to replace.

@Khazzy thanks for your input. The STI kit is definitely growing on me. I think if I were to see it in person I would be sold on it. I don't plan on being slammed, as I want to be able to track it eventually. I'm currently running eibach super sports and that's pretty much as low as I plan on going. Huge plus not having to drill though, probably going to be my deciding factor to be honest...you bring up a good point about fitment as well, I have OCD when it comes to that stuff and obviously the STI kit would be spot on.
