Unichip Launch control

Hey anybody tried the unichip launch control? It's super cheap and I'm tempted to give it a try...

does it really come preloaded with 4k rpm hold? just plug and go?
Does it rev match (auto blip)?
Does it do flat foot shifting?
Any user reviews?

I know the unichip wholesale website speaks to this... mostly looking for real world accounts.

Thanks in advance.

Get ecutek, brzedit, or and open source tune. There is no need to go wiring in piggybacks when you have a flashable ecu.

For $50 more than the unichip you can get the OpenFlashTablet. It can't be detected if you are worried about warranty work and takes less time to revert to stock. The tunes are way more efficient and powerful (including proper e85 support) and FFS and LC are standard, easy to edit features. The nice thing is that it also data logs and they will be bumping up the number of parameters that you can log soon. There has been more than a few people who have sold their unichips for OFTs due to the versatility and value offered.

I wouldn't turn you away from BRZedit or ecutek (although ecutek is way more expensive for features that you would have no use for if you car considering the unichip), but it you are thinking a Unichip, the OFT is probably the best choice for you. @shiv@vishnu has proven to be a very capable tuner with this platform.

Thanks for the comments. I already have the Unichip and will be sticking with it, as it is the best solution for me...

Still looking for reviews.

the best solution isn't always the one you've already paid for... i'd cut the losses and go with something more modern and extensible. many have followed that path, there's no shame in it, and you'll inevitably want to unload it eventually and probably get less if you wait.

if you're happy at all with a unichip then ecutek is overkill for you. oft is what you need.

You're getting them. There is no room in the market for unichip when we have OFT.

Realistically, what would be the power / power-band difference on a NA car with I/H/E?

I don't think we define reviews in the same way. I'm specifically looking for people who have had the unichip with launch control installed on their car...

But thanks for sharing your opinion.
