FA20club RHD Overpipe
Has anyone else bought a RHD overpipe from FA20 club?
I am interested to hear if anyone else has had the same problems that I have? The first one they sent, which cost $310 delivered, was poorly made with the flanges a good 3mm convex. It also proved to be unuseable when we checked it later because in addition to the flanges it was the wrong shape. The replacement, that was sent after months of requests for a solution, also proved to be unuseable by touching when bolted to the headers and having totally the wrong angle on the flange to the downpipe. At least 10deg out of line. These are made on jigs so I can only assume that every RHD overpipe they[Toni] sold was also not fit for the purpose. As before they are not replying to my communication so this is the only recourse that I have. Does the forum accept any responsibility for vendors that sell products that are unfit for the purpose and simply keep the money and refuse to communicate? |

This pains me as I know personally for almost a year of your dealings with this...
I don't think the forum does much about it unfortunately.

Hi David,
I sold my 86 recently. It was my only car and the practical aspect was wearing thin. So I got a Skoda Yeti, TDI DSG 4x4. I sent a pm to FA20club explaining the situation and was honest by saying I had sold the overpipe unused for AU$150 and asked for US$180/AU$200 so that I got the $150 and the other guy got $50 towards the time they wasted. The OEM overpipe looked that good with the shields off I doubt it would have made much difference anyway. It was much better than the strangled RHD versions shown early on. So there's no limit to the amount of abuse members receive from vendors? That's sad because when you pay for something that's blatantly unfit for the purpose intended and the sellers hide rather than refund the money they need to be stopped, even prosecuted. Why should I be out $310 for his incompetance? |

^^ I think there is a limit, but not clearly defined, more on a case by case basis and at the discretion of the forum administrator.
