Shaun's Asphalt FRS
I figured it would be a good idea to track the progress of my '14 Asphalt FRS. I picked it up 11/2013 and so far love this car. I have previously owned trans-ams, nsrt4, and a few wranglers all of which were modified in some aspect. Enjoy!
My goal is not to replace anything on the car unless it does the following: Reduces Weight Increases Performance Retains daily drivability (within reason) Picked it up all nice and clean: ![]() 11/2013-Put the winter set on almost immediately (Conti Extreme Winter on 16" Steelies) I was able to negotiate $1000 from the dealer toward winter wheels and tires, because I was trading in my Jeep which had no issues in the snow. This was the only reason I even bought the car as I loved my '12 Rubicon: ![]() 11/2013-Installed DDM Tuning 4500K 35W HID within a couple of weeks of picking it up. No install pics sorry! 12/2013- Picked up and installed a used Magnaflow Catback for $300 (a steal). Love the deep tone and no drone or raspiness to speak of. Even the wife doesn't mind it: ![]() 01/2014-Sold the stock wheels/all season tires for $700 and picked up a set of GY Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 225/45R17 on Gold Konig Feather 17x7.5 +45 for a great deal. TireRack had the tires on closeout and Discount Tire beat their shipped price by $10. Discount tire also assured me they would include metal hub rings and not plastic like TireRack is known to do. I originally wanted Michelin PSS on Drag DR-38 17x8 in bronze, but the tire deal was too good to pass up and the Drag wheels were out of stock with no restock date. The Konig wheels are lighter anyways so no major loss there either: Tires- http://www.goodyear.com/en-US/tires/...1-asymmetric-2 Wheels- http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...7.5&vid=022253 Wheels and tires arrived. Is it spring yet?! ![]() 01/2014- Motiv Catted Front Pipe installed. Has an o2 bung added for future wideband compatibility.

Added the Motiv catted front pipe today. Not to hard even in the cold and wet weather.

How's the angle for the O2 sensor? Been trying to avoid welding one onto the stock pipe and this would be a good excuse to get an aftermarket one. My AEM A/F wideband says to mount it like 10 degrees off horizontal or something like that.
