HKS "Catted header" & Supercharger combo, anyone?

Looking to see if any folks here have the HKS Combo with any supercharger and what kind of results were seen?

I'm asking as ..
1.) would like a EL header and will be going with a SC this spring
2.) results seen lately from some tuners show minimal gains from headers with SCs
2.) catted is also on list cause of wanting to keep it quieter and cleaner

So if anyone can shed light on their experience and thoughts on these headers is appreciate it. Haven't been able to find much negative but want to solidify whether I choose these with a SC system or just stay stock header....

I've been eying the HKS EL header w/cat (but not the SC) for quite some time but so far I have yet to see any independent dyno results. It would be interesting to compare it against the non-cat version to find out how much hp/tq the cat is costing.

I would have tested an UEL on my car if I still had an engine that ran in it... lol Very few tests seen. Toni @ fa20club said headers make a world of difference. But he also doesnt tune for MBT all of the time so who knows how accurate that is. bob @ drift office did testing and i trust his wording more as he was trying to directly compare the two. I don't think too many people have actually tested it, and most tuners are not getting too detailed into the tunes to actually extract every last little bit out of the car at this time. Since most people are simply using e-tuners and not commonly using local tuners it makes this even worse.

Drift Office did a dyno with an HKS EL header but I believe it was catless. But I doubt the difference would be that big with a HFC. Nothing that you would feel anyways. It had the HKS exhaust, a Catted front/over pipe, and a cat back and was tuned to like 190 WHP.

Yes that one was catless so would like to see how much of a difference a cat would make. Would like to hear how it sounds too.

Logic would dictate that cramming more in the top would create a need to flow better out the bottom. It seems most have chosen (either / or) supercharger or maximum free flowing exhaust with na tune. I certainly hope some of the leading edge tuners have a chance to merge the two together and see what happens with some time invested. It's been my plan all along to eventually supercharge but I still have Apex brakes, seats and aero awaiting funding. I also want more track time at 205 whp with E85 before moving along.

Its been said over n over on these forums a high flow cat will see very little difference in gains. It wont be enough for you to notice a difference and the cat will keep it sounding mature with less rasp than you would get it without. If I had to choose between going with hfc on a header/front over pipe I would make sure any after market mods would have a high flow cat so it will help reduce the rasp/horrible sounds compared to a header or exhaust system without cats.

A couple less whp at the cost of a great sounding exhaust is well worth it. No one likes a fart cannon/raspyness for what? A couple of whp that you probably wouldnt even be able to feel with your everyday driving. All it gives you is bragging r ights when you show off your dyno and that would be on the forums. When do you honestly bust out your dyno sheets and show it off to y our friends.. lols..

You will become that guy in your neighboorhood, school, work or whatever you do. Like do you want to be "that guy" everyone facepalms/smh's at. Most people may not realize it but everytime I am in a car with different people and a car w/ a fart cannon exhaust is near us everyone just says how retarded they are or annoying/stupid/raspy/slow/and joke about how fast the car is going for how loud it is.... like you would think it would be a mile away already with how loud it is but it really is just like 20 feet lmao.
