So I've been experimenting with a different setup the past few days...

Last Thursday my FRS got a flat from a screw in the rear right tire. I will not let wheel/Tire places touch my car so after airing it up before leaving work and getting home I swapped the two rears out for a different setup I have. So the setup is like this:

Front
Wheels: 17x8 +36mm offset Kosei K4R
Tires: 215/45-17 Kumho Ecsta XS

Rear
Wheels: 17x7.5 +40mm offset Enkei Fujins
Tires: stock 215/45-17 Michelin HP's

Well after driving on these for the past few days...I LOVE this setup; even though the flat tire was fixed on Friday it's been sitting in the garage with the other rear one. With a full fuel load it feels even quicker in rotation and response than with a normal setup on 1/4 fuel level. I'm very familiar with the stock tires and their grip levels and cornering hard with near 0 slip angle with them. With this staggered F:R track width/offset and tire compound setup the car just rotates around its yaw axis so perfectly it's like a mid-engine car... very nice! Not very practical for tire rotation though...because swapping the tire/wheel combo the other way would not be something you really want to do...

But it's got me seriously thinking about putting some spacers on just the front axle for the Daily driver setup...will need to calculate the thickness they will need to be.
