EasyGO push button start

I have an installer working on installing my EasyGO push button start. The issue he is having is everything is working, but when he starts the car it runs for 3 seconds and then just shuts off. I know this is a known issue and a simple fix we just can't figure out what is causing it. Anyone have any idea.

It might be trying to detect the keyless start fob if it has one. If it is not close enough to the detection zone it might not recognize it long enough to keep running. My BRZ has the keyless start and it does something similar if my keys are in my bag on the backseat (mainly just beeps at me that it does not see the fob.

good luck

Thats a 1st gen module. There was a software update that changed some canbus information causing this problem. If you mail the computer part to the following address they will update the software and solve this problem. I need to do this but its my daily driver and i cant remove the box to send it in. And i cant seem to buy just a computer.
this is a copy of the email i got from tech support:

Toyota did a mid-year software update which changed the can bus information on those vehicles. Therefore depending on the purchase date, certain models will remote start and shut down. Returning your vehicle to key start however, should not be difficult. Once you plug the ignition harness back in, the car is now back to standard key operation. At that point, all you have to do is send the brain in alone so the proper software can be updated, and once it is returned plug it back in, and unplug the ignition harness. Here is our return information
