FRS stroker kit?

Hey guys, just wondering if there has been any news about stroker kits and cams for the FA20. A larger engine displacement would be pretty cool to increase hp/tq in the higher rpms. I know HKS had been working on the FA20 earlier this year but it kinda died down after they only could stroke it out to 2.0912 liters

I think 2.2 or 2.3 would be perfect. Do you think something like this would benefit the car, NA or turbo? I know a lot my buddies stroked their 928's to 6.2L w/ a vortech supercharger and man were they torquey. I know the 2015 or 2016 model might receive a 2.5L engine (I hear Subaru and Toyota are having issues so it'll be interesting to see what each company does), but I've already put a lot of work into my car and would never trade it, just looking for an option to upgrade! I think what J's racing has done with their s2000 2.2 stroker kit (stroked from 2.0L) would be absolutely ideal for our platform..

Having opened the motor to obtain the specs, there is very little clearance to create a stroker kit. Which could be why the HKS kit only had small gains.
As for cams we are testing for a company and will post some information and dyno logs. We have created a head package to incress the flow. all of the is just for starters for the 2014 season

Yes I just read that HKS couldn't go beyond 2.1L because of safety and fitment issues. But that's great news! I think upgraded cams can still do wonders for this car

Did HKS ever end up releasing the stroker kit, or did they end up dropping the idea?

sent from my locker... help!

Agreed. Cams, supporting valvetrain and an 8200 redline and I'd be happy as hell staying NA.

Someone here said they could do a 2.19liter but it would need sleeves. Very pricey for .2 liters

You should be able to rev higher than 8200rpm with headwork and cams! 8500rpm+ would be awesome and would really open up the N/A power potential as long as the cams can breathe up top.

2.2l would be ideal. an extra 10% torque off boost, quicker spool, and you'd have to sleeve it so it should be bulletproof when it''s done.

hopefully something is available by the time my engine build begins.
