How often should I be waxing the car?
I use this stuff if it matters.

Oh, a couple times a year should keep her looking good.
(providing you don't do something to take the old wax off) Yep, once in the spring and once in the fall ..... humfrz |

After every other wash, assuming you wash every 2 weeks or so.
You should try a clay bar once though. Do half of your hood and feel the difference. Mind blowing difference once you go full detailing. It's a slippery slope.

There are some variables - car washing techniques you use, your car's exposure to the elements, etc etc. |

I don't do claying like someone mentioned above. I just waxed my car last month.

Never is often enough.
Modern paints require zero maintenance. But, go ahead if you wish. Once you start you're stuck doing it forever, ironically because wax loses its shine quite quickly. |

Always clay before you do a full wax. I do it 4x a year. Then once a month or so I'll apply another layer to renew the protection. If you don't clay bar first before your first coat it can't bond to the paint and it won't last but 1 week.

I use Meguiar's Quick Detailer after each wash. It's a liquid spray.

One or twice every couple of months is what I usually do. Depends on the intervals of when I have to wash it.

In the summer time I wax about once a month. In the winter? Nah, fuck that, it's too cold.

I want to see this modern pain that requires no maintenance. That means it doesn't get etched by acid rain or bird droppings, and resists all types of swirls.

wax lasts 3-5 months or so with proper wash methods. sealants last longer.
wax = not as much protection as sealant, but looks more shiny sealant = more protection, still shiny, but not as much "pop" if you want to strip all the wax off to apply new wax, use dish soap |
